Dr. Girdhar Gyani is the Director-General, Association of Healthcare Providers (India). Dr. Gyani, having 5-decades of experience in administration, research & quality, is widely recognized as founder of healthcare quality in India. During his tenure as the Secretary General, Quality Council of India, Dr Gyani played a pivotal role in the formulation of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
He also pioneered quality accreditation in varied disciplines like public services, school education, environment and food safety, besides the manufacturing sector. SME World Magazine in its cover story of June 2012 issue, described Dr. Gyani as the ‘Quality Man of India’.
