Dr. Sameer Gupta is an American trained and Boarded Interventional Cardiologist, and is also an ardent healthcare advocate. He specializes in complex interventional cardiovascular, structural heart and peripheral procedures. His leadership profile is extensive as he is the Director of Umkal Hospital, Gurugram, and the Director of Group Cath Lab, Metro Group of Hospitals in Delhi/NCR. He is also Managing Director of Aurum, Senior and Assisted Living in Gurugram.
Dr Gupta is one of the few doctors in India who is board certified by 5 American Boards – Internal Medicine (ABIM, USA), Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM, USA), Interventional Cardiology (ABIM, USA), Echocardiography (NBE, USA) and Endovascular Intervention (ABVM, USA). After training and working in the United States for almost 10 years, Dr Gupta returned to India to deliver world-class healthcare to his country and its people. He routinely performs complex coronary, structural and peripheral vascular procedures on the arteries and veins of the entire body and cutting-edge cardiac procedures like Transcatheter Aortic Valve replacement and Mitral clipping.
Dr Gupta hosts the informative and popular NDTV health segment called ‘Doctors on Call’ on a weekly basis. A passionate healthcare advocate, Dr Gupta has a health awareness platform called ‘Voice Of Health’ with a loyal following on Facebook and Instagram. He was the sole cardiologist to be awarded the Young Achievers Award at the Times Healthcare Award (2017). He has been given the prestigious status of a Fellow by the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography & Intervention (FSCAI). As a recognized leader, Dr Gupta is the Co-Chair of the Healthcare Committee at the PHD Chamber of Commerce.
