Himanshu Baid is the Managing Director of Poly Medicure Limited (POLYMED). He founded POLYMED in 1995 with his brothers and has over 24 years of experience in manufacturing disposable medical devices. He is involved in Corporate strategy, Finance and Sales & Marketing Initiatives at POLYMED.
Under the leadership of Mr. Baid, POLYMED has consolidated its position as the largest exporter of consumable Medical Devices for the last 8 years from India, with exports worth more than Rs. 400 crores reaching 110+ countries. Today, the company operates 9 manufacturing plants that have the capacity to manufacture over 3 million devices per day. POLYMED has patented more than 300 medical devices, and employs over 5000 people.
He is passionate about Business Development both within the country and overseas, and holds providing medical devices at an affordable cost to the society to be his motto. Mr Baid has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics and Communication) and has previously worked with Philips Communication Industries as a trainee Engineer for 6 months in Nuremberg, Germany. He likes to devote his free time towards CSR activities and holds a keen interest in cricket and tennis.
